The Big Four Bridge

The Big Four Bridge is one of the best summer evening activities in Louisville. Guests can walk or bike across the pedestrian bridge over the Ohio River, enjoy skyline views, and explore the waterfront area before grabbing dinner or dessert nearby.

Beckley Creek Park

Cherokee Park

Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Cherokee Park is one of Louisville’s most well-known parks with scenic walking paths, open green space, biking trails, and a beautiful loop drive.

The Parklands at Floyds Fork

One of the best outdoor areas near Louisville with miles of trails, kayaking access, playgrounds, biking, fishing, and picnic areas spread across several connected parks.

Tom Sawyer State Park

Tom Sawyer State Park is one of Louisville’s best parks for active families. The park features walking trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, and one of the largest public outdoor recreation areas in the city. It’s a great place for kids to run around, burn off energy, and enjoy some time outside without feeling crowded.

Tom Sawyer has some of the most popular public pickleball courts in Louisville and you’ll often find local players out there on summer evenings.
